Liber Necris are a band from the United Kingdom that plays a blackened form of death metal and this is a review of their 2014 ep "Negative Creator" which was released by Venn Records.
A very dark and blackened sound starts off the ep before going into a fast direction that mixes black metal and grind together along with a mixture of growls and screams along with some blast beats and brutal death metal elements and the band also bring s in a mixture of mid paced and fast parts as well as adding melody into their musical sound.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they bring a technical death metal sound into the music and they also add in spoken word parts and shouts at times and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them, as the ep progresses you can also start hearing traces of the more modern metal sound in their music and on the last track you can hear a few seconds of classical guitars in the background.
Liber Necris takes the more modern brutal death metal sound and adds in a great amount of black metal influences along with some melodic and technical elements to create their sound, the production sounds very professional and the lyrics cover a concept based on a negative creator.
In my opinion Liber Necris are a very great sounding blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Bonded By Pure Hate" and "The Eulogy For Our Earth". 8 out of 10.
