Coffin Hoarder are a band from Texas that plays a mixture of blackened death metal and grindcore and this is a review of their self released 2014 ep.
A very fast and brutal sound starts off the ep along with some blast beats and deep guttural growls and they also bring in a mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and they take the brutality of blackened death metal and mixes it in with the speed and rawness of grindcore along with all of the tracks being very short in length.
There is a great amount of raw aggression and brutality being displayed throughout the recording and there are no guitar leads or melodies to be hear on any of the tracks and it enhances the brutality this music creates.
Coffin Hoarder create some of the rawest and most brutal music for the blackened death metal and grindcore genres with the music being all brutal from beginning to end, the production has a very dark, raw and heavy sound while the lyrics cover darkness and death themes.
In my opinion Coffin Hoarder are a very great sounding brutal mixture of blackened death metal and grindcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Haunted Indian Burial Grounds" and "Telepathic Embolization". 8 out of 10.
