1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?
We are a Metal/Hardrock band from Oslo, the capital of Norway. It's a hard and heavy band with big hooks basically. Good looking fellas with the right attitude I would say.
2.Recently you have released an album, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recording?
I would say it's pretty mixed with a lot of genres. We use a lot of elements from different types of styles. But the main goal with the album is to sound huge. You can find a lot of elements from big bands in there, in a nice little mix.
3.What are some of there lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?
All the songs are pretty much about our band name. We are all fighters who fight individual fights, rather they are psychological, physical our everyday problems. These are problems everyone stumble upon in a lifetime. And that's mainly what this record is all about. Grow and learn as the journey through life continues, which can be at some times, a hell of a fight.
4.Originally the band was known as 'Faenskap', what was the decision behind the name change and also the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Fight The Fight'?
Well if you're not Norwegian, 'Faenskap' is a really hard name to pronounce and to understand. I bet you struggled to pronounce it when you first read it. We wanted to hit a larger group of people with our music, and felt Fight the Fight was a suiting bandname for our band personality.
5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played over the years and also how would you describe your stage performance?
That's really hard to answer, because it's been so many, and every time we play live, we learn new things. And we are getting better and better for each time.
Our stage performance could be described as hard and aggressive, but also sweet.
6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the new album?
Not tours I'm allowed to talk about, but I promise you there will be some stuff up very soon!
7.The new album was released on 'Indie Recordings', are you happy with the support that they have given you so far?
Yeah, we love working with Indie. They are great people and they do a hell of a job. Definitely looking forward to work more with them in the future.
8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of metal?
It has been good. It's been a good response from people all of the world. Specially spanish talking countries, which I feel is a good thing. Because it's cool to connect with people so far away from what you're used to. That's the kind of magic we live for.
9.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?
Time will tell, as we are getting older, so will our music progress. I think we're only gonna go up from where we are now. We have a lot of unspent talent we would release in the future, music vise.
10.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
There have been a lot of bands we've been influences by, growing up. Everything from Black Sabbath to In Flames. Whether it's new or old music, doesn't really matter. Everything that leaves a mark in our hearts and souls becomes a huge inspiration in the end.
I listen to a lot of Radiohead right now. I got my phases where I get obsessed with bands our artists, where they become my only music inspiration for that brief time. Maybe it's me who does that. Who knows.
11.What are some of your non musical interests?
We all like to work out, so you'll find us in the gym if we're not making music.
I personally is really interested in art and history. So that also is a big hobby of mine.
