Lucifera are a band from Columbia that plays a mixture of black and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2017 album "Preludio Del Mar" which will be released on February 24th by Morbid Skull Records.
Horror movie soundtrack style sounds start off the album along with some ritualistic voices and after a minute the music goes into a heavier and more melodic direction along with a great amount of blast beats and high pitched blackened metal screams and you can also hear a great amount of thrash influences.
Throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and some of the tracks are also long and epic in length and while a great amount of 80's and 90's influences can be heard in the songs the music still sounds very modern at the same time and when guitar leads are utilized they are done in a very dark yet melodic fashion and demonic sounds also make a return in certain sections of the recording as the album progresses and acoustic guitars are added onto th last track.
Lucifera plays a musical style that takes black and thrash metal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Spanish and cover Occultism, Blasphemous, Chaos, and Destruction themes.
In my opinion Lucifera are a very great sounding mixture of black and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Los Demonios De Loudun" "Culto Ancestral" "Preludio Del Mal" and "Blasfemias". 8 out of 10.
