Marche Funebre are a band from Belgium that plays a mixture of black, doom, and death metal and this is a review of their 2017 album "Into The Arms Of Darkness" which was released by BadMoodMan Music.
A very dark, heavy and atmospheric doom metal sound starts off the album along with some grim black metal screams while the solos are done in a very dark and melodic fashion and death metal growls a re also used at times along with most of the tracks being very long and epic in length.
Clean singing vocals can also be heard in certain sections of the recording while the riffs also bring in a decent amount of melody and one track also adds in a brief use of percussion which also gives the music a more tribal feeling while a later song adds in a brief use of acoustic guitars as well as speeding up a bit and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording and as the album progresses a brief use of spoken word parts can be heard and towards the end a small amount of blast beats can be heard..
Marche Funebre plays a musical style that takes black, death and atmospheric doom metal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover literature, grief, and philosophy themes.
In my opinion Marche Funebre are a very great sounding mixture of black, doom, and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Capital Of Rain" and "The Garden Of All Things Wild". 8 out of 10.
