Wilderness Dream are a band from Oakland, California that plays a blackened form of thrash metal and this is a review of their 2017 ep "Paralysis Rise" which will be released in July by Creator-Destructor.
A very heavy and melodic sound starts off the ep along with some elements of thrash and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard while all off the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and after awhile black metal s creams are added onto the recording.
A great amount of aggressive thrash style vocals are also utilized at times and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and they also mix in a modern style while also keeping everything in a heavy direction along with a small amount of hardcore punk style energy and the music also always remains heavy.
Wildness Dream plays a musical style that is mostly rooted in modern thrash while also mixing in a great amount of black metal influences, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark themes.
In my opinion Wilderness Dream are a very great sounding blackened thrash metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should c heck out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ghosts" and "No Light". 8 out of 10.
