Blood Moon Hysteria are a band from Norway that plays an atmospheric form of metal and on this recording adds in more black metal elements and this is a review of their 2018 ep "My Sacrifice" which was released by WormHoleDeath Records.
Acoustic guitar playing starts off the ep while also mixing in with the heavier sections of the songs while the vocals are grim screams that also gives the music a touch of black metal as well as some death metal growls also being utilized at times and the riffs also bring in a great amount of melody.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them while the solos and leads bring in elements of melodic goth and post metal along with some synths and clean playing being heard briefly as well as one track also bringing in a small amount of spoken word parts and as the ep progresses the music speeds up briefly and also brings in a small amount of tremolo picking and blast beats that also gives the song a more 90's Norwegian black metal atmosphere.
On this recording Blood Moon Hysteria expands on their atmospheric style of metal by adding in more elements of black metal, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Blood Moon Hysteria and if you are a fan of dark, black and atmospheric metal, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "My Sacrifice" and "Towards The Abyss". 8 out of 10.
