Distorted soundscapes start off the album before going into more of a heavier and melodic musical direction while the faster sections of the songs also bring in a great amount of brutal sounding blast beats along with the vocals also bringing in a mixture of black metal screams and death metal growls.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the guitar solos and leads are done in a very dark yet melodic fashion along with the riffs also bringing in a decent amount of groove and as the album progresses a brief use of synths and spoken word parts can also be heard before making a return back to a more heavy and brutal direction and when whispers are utilized they give the music more of a ritualistic feeling, a couple of tracks also bring in a brief use of classical guitars and they also close the album with an instrumental.
Theotoxin plays a musical style that takes black and death metal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover theology and anti religion themes.
In my opinion Theotoxin are a very great sounding fast and brutal mixture of black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Deus Imposter" "Stillstand" and "Adoration Of The Blight". 8 out of 10.
