The Order Of Apollyon are a band with members from t he United Kingdom and France that has been featured before in this zine and plays a blackened form of death metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Moriah" which was released by Agonia Records.
Acoustic guitar playing starts off the album before going into a heavier direction while the riffs also use a good amount of dark sounding melodies while the faster sections of the songs also bring in a great amount of blast beats as well as the vocals also adding in a great amount of death metal growls.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the music also brings in a great amount of black metal elements in the tremolo picking riffs along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and when guitar leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic style and as the album progresses a brief use of ritualistic synths and melodic chants can also be heard.
The Order Of Apollyon creates another recording that remains true to the blackened death metal style of previous releases, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover spirituality and religion themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from The Order of Apollyon and if you are a fan of blackened death metal, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Lies Of Moriah" "The Original Cries Of Jerusalem" and "A Monumnet". 8 out of 10.
