Hate are a band from Poland and on this recording have expanded even more in a blackened death metal style which they started experimenting with on previous releases and this is a review of their 2019 album "Auric Gates Of Veles" which will be released on June 14th by Metal Blade Records.
A very dark and ritualistic sound starts off the album before going into more of a heavier and brutal direction which also introduces death metal screams onto the recording. When the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats and tremolo picking which is also heavily influenced by black metal can also be also be heard.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the solos and leads are done in a very chaotic style. The riffs also add in a great amount of dark sounding melodies and as the album progresses a small amount of atmospheric elements can also be heard without the music ever losing any of its brutality and as the album progresses a brief use of ritualistic spoken word parts can also be heard
On this recording Hate expands on the black metal elements while also keeping the brutal death metal style of previous releases. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Slavic Paganism, Mysticism and Zoroastrianism themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Hate and if you are a fan of this band, you should enjoy t his album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Seventh Manvantara" "Auric Gates Of Veles" and "Generation Sulphur". 8 out of 10.
