Mynskh are a band from Austria that plays a blackened form of death metal with some elements of ambient and classical music and this is a review of their album "Chapter 01: Obliterating Perfection" which was originally released in 2017 with the new version having the bass guitar tracks re-recorded in 2020 and the album will be released in September by Atmaah Records.
Sci-fi orientated soundscapes start off the album along with some clean playing a few seconds later while whispered vocals can also be heard briefly, Once the music goes into a heavier direction black metal screams are also added onto the recording as well as the music also mixing ambient elements into the heavier sections of the songs.
The riffs also add in a decent amount of melody while the solos and leads are also done in a very dark yet melodic style. All of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them along with some death metal growls also being utilized at times as well a s the faster sections of the songs also adding in a decent amount of blast beats.
All of the tracks are also very long and epic in length along with some programmed beats also being utilized at times. Clean vocals can also be heard in certain sections of the recording as well as a couple of the songs also adding in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts, influences of classical music are also added into some parts of the music and they also add instrumental versions of their songs as bonus tracks. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics are a concept album based upon a bizarre universe that has its own laws and nature.
In my opinion Mynskh are a very great sounding blackened death metal band with some elements of ambient and classical and if you are looking for something that is different, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Amendment Of A Cosmic Fault" and "A Screaming God". 8 out of 10.
