Haradrim are a duo from Sweden that plays a mixture of black, death metal and crust punk and this is a review of their 2023 album "Death Of Idols" which was released as a joint effort between Trust No One Recordings and EAT Heavy Records.
Spoken word parts and melodic riffing starts off the album before going into a very fast and brutal direction which also utilizes a great amount of blast beats. All of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them and the songs also mix in a lot of crust punk elements.
Vocals are mostly death metal growls while the fast riffing also adds in a lot of black emtal style tremolo picking. Throughout the recording you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the solos and leads also being done in a very melodic style when they are utilized as well as a couple of songs also adding in a small amount of clean playing.
Haradrim plays a musical style that takes black, death metal and crust punk and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Anti Religion themes.
In my opinion Haradrim are a very great sounding mixture of black, death metal and crust punk and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this duo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Death Of Idols" "Godless" "Demigod" and "Ashes of Warsaw". 8 out of 10.
