Sarlic Bliss are a band from Germany that plays an atmospheric mixture of post black, doom and death metal and this is a review of their 2023 album "Brægn Hæft" which was released by MDD Records.
Tragic sounding keyboards start off the album and also mixes in with the heavier sections of the songs at times Clear vocals are also added on some of the tracks while elements of doom metal are also added in the slower parts of the album along with the riffs also adding in a great amount of melody.
Most of the tracks are also very long and epic in length while the faster sections of the songs also add in a lot of blast beats. The harsher vocals also add in a good mixture of death metal growls and black metal screams along with the solos and leads also being done in a very melodic post metal style.
One track also introduces clean playing onto the album along with the recording also having its atmospheric moments as well as one song also adding in a brief use of spoken word parts, female vocals are also added briefly towards the end. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover depression and melancholy themes.
In my opinion Sarlic Bliss are a very great sounding atmospheric mixture of post black, doom and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Darkest Desires" and "Invidia". 8 out of 10.
