Aeon are a band from Sweden that plays a very satanic and blasphemous form of blackened death metal and this is a review of their 2012 album "Aeons Black" which was released by Metal Blade Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a great amount of brutal sounding blast beats being thrown into the music at times, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars, as for the pianos which are only utilized briefly on an instrumental bring a very dark sound to the music.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast blackened death metal riffs t hat are very heavy and brutal sounding, while the lead guitars are very dark and chaotic sounding death metal guitar solos and leads.
Vocals are mostly deep blackened death metal growls with some spoken word parts being thrown into the music at times as well as some high pitched screams, while the lyrics cover Anti Christian, Occultism and Dark themes, as for t he production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound to it.
In my opinion Aeon are a very great sounding heavy and blasphemous blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Glowing Hate" "Passage To Hell" "Cacrifice" and "Blessed By The Priest". RECOMMENDED BUY.
