Throes are a duo from the United Kingdom that plays a blackened form of death metal with a touch of industrial and this is a review of their 2015 album "Disassoctation" which will be released on April 26th by Rain Without End Records.
Avant garde sounds start off the album along with some clean playing and spoken word samples a few seconds later and you can also hear some distorted drones at times and a minute later the music starts going into more of a brutal blackened death metal direction along with a great amount of blast beats, growls and screams.
Melodies can be heard quite a bit throughout the recording and the band also mixes in industrial sounds with the heavy riffs at times and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and when solos and leads are utilized they are very dark and distorted sounding and there are also a couple of tracks that are long and epic in length and clean playing also returns in certain sections of the recording.
Throes plays a musical style that mixes black metal with brutal death metal and a touch of industrial ans noise to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark and philosophical themes.
In my opinion Throes are a very great sounding blackened death metal band with a touch of industrial and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Exponent" and "Caveat". 8 out of 10.
