All Hell are a band from North Carolina that has been featured before in this zine and plays a mixture of black metal, thrash, and punk and this is a review of their 2017 album "The Grave Alchemist" which will be released in April by Prosthetic Records.
Drum beats start off the album along with some melodic guitar leads a few seconds later and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording while t he keyboards add in a touch of gothic horror and after awhile the music starts getting to get a lot more heavier.
Vocals are mostly grim yet high pitched screams and when the music speeds up a great amount of punk and d beat elements can be heard and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and you can also hear a lot of thrash influences in the guitar riffing and as the album progresses the music starts adding in more touches of 80's death rock and first wave black metal while also being very modern at the same time and spoken word parts can also be heard at times and the guitar leads also add in more of an old school metal feeling and a decent amount of tremolo picking can be heard in the faster riffing.
All Hell creates another recording that remains true to the black metal, thrash and punk mixture of previous releases while also adding in more death rock influences this time around, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are a concept album based on alchemy, necromancy and vampirism over the span of three centuries.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from All Hell and if you a re a fan of black metal, thrash and punk, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Grave Alchemy" "Vampiric Lust" "The Madness Out Of Time" and "I Am The Mist". 8 out of 10.
