Conjonctive are a band from Switzerland that plays a blackened mixture of death metal and deathcore and this is a review of their 2017 album "In The Mouth Of The Devil" which was released by Tenacity Music.
Horror movie style keyboards start off the album along with some tortured voices in the background and they also mixed in with the metalcore riffing while the guitar leads are done in a very melodic fashion and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard and all of the musical instruments sound very powerful.
Vocals are a mixture of death metal growls and black metal screams and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the riffs also bring in a decent amount of melody and there is also a brief use of nu metal style shouts on one of the tracks and the riffs also bring in a decent amount of melody and some of the fast riffing also brings in a small amount of tremolo picking and pig squeals can also be heard briefly and as the album progresses the music gets more atmospheric.
Conjonctive plays a music style that takes black, death metal and deathcore and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover darkness and occultism themes.
In my opinion Conjonctive are a very great sounding technical and blackened mixture of death metal and deathcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "You're Next" "Let Blow The Grim Wind" "Hills Of Abomination" and "Constellations And Black Holes". 8 out of 10.
