The Loom Of Time are a band from Australia that plays a mixture of black, doom, death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2016 album "NihilReich" which was released by Aeternitas Tenebrarum Musicae Fundamantum.
Doom metal style riffing and clean singing starts off the album along with some grim black metal screams while blast beats can be heard in the faster sections of the music as well as all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and the solos and leads are d one in a very melodic fashion.
A great amount of melody can be heard in the guitar riffing along with the songs also bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and some of the tracks are very long and epic in length while the riffs also incorporate a good amount of both modern and old school thrash metal influences and as the album progresses elements of death metal along with a few growls can be heard along with some touches of traditional metal in the guitar leads and acoustic guitars are added onto the closing track.
The Loom Of Time plays a musical style that is mostly rooted in black metal and mixes in elements of death, doom, and thrash metal to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark and philosophical themes.
In my opinion The Loom Of Time are a very great sounding mixture of black, doom, death and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Cries Of The Weak" and "The Fight For The Subhuman". 8 out of 10.
