Faceless Burial are a band from Australia that plays an old school form of blackened death metal and this is a review of their album "Grotesque Miscreation" which will be released by Blood Harvest in 2018.
A horror movie orientated intro starts off the album before going into a very dark and heavier direction while the faster sections of the songs also bring in a great amount of blast beats along with the vocals being mostly deep death metal growls and the music is very heavily rooted in the 90's.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very dark yet melodic fashion while the music also brings in a great amount of black metal elements as well as some grim screams while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them as well as the faster sections of the songs having grindcore influences and the slower sections having more of a doom/death side to them and the last track is very long and epic in length.
Faceless Burial plays a musical style that goes back to the blackened death metal style of t he early 90's while also mixing in a touch of grindcore and doom metal, the production sounds very old school while the lyrics cover violence, evil and gore themes.
In my opinion Faceless Burial are a very great sounding old school blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Seeping Aberrational Fissures" "Unrelenting Member" "Useless Seed" and "Black Ovulation". 8 out of 10.
