Edollom are a band from Israel that plays a mixture of black, gothic and doom metal and this is a review of their 2019 album "Sirens" which was released by Another Side Records.
Atmospheric sounding keyboards start off the album which also mixes in with the heavier sections of the music. Elements of doom metal can also be heard in the slower sections of t he songs while the vocals are mostly death metal growls and clean gothic female vocals can also be heard at times.
Whispers are also added into some parts of the recording while the music also mixes in a decent amount of black metal screams. Dark sounding melodies can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing along with the solos and leads being done in a very melodic style and when the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can also be heard.
Most of the tracks are very long and epic in length along with some clean playing also being added into certain sections of the recording. The music also adds in a decent amount of 90's era gothic doom/death metal elements as well as some spoken word parts also being used at times and some tracks also add in a small amount of clean male vocals, all of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover damnation, sorrow and death themes.
In my opinion Edollom are a very great sounding mixture of black, gothic and doom metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Presentiment" "The Black Sorceress" and "To Darkness I Fall". 8 out of 10.
