Poland's Ljosazabojstwa have returned with a new recording which continues the blackened death metal style of their previous releases and this is a review of their 2020 album "Gloryja Smierci" which was released by Godz Of War Productions.
Ritualistic soundscapes start off the album before going into more of a heavier, darker and brutal musical direction. The vocals are also a mixture of black metal screams and death metal growls along with all of the tracks also being very long and epic in length and the riffs also add in a decent amount of dark sounding melodies.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very dark and melodic style while the music also has a lot of 90's influences but keeping it modern at the same time. All of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them as well as one track also adding in a brief use of ritualistic sounding synths.
When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can also be heard along with one song also introducing clean playing onto the recording as well a s the songs also adding in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts, tremolo picking can also be heard in some of the faster riffing. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Polish and cover Anti Christianity, Death and Cruelty themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Ljosazabojstwa and if you are a fan of blackened death metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Zorka Paeyn" and "Initfany Boh". 8 out of 10.
