Brutta are a b and from Brazil that plays a blackened form of death metal and this is a review of their self released and self titled 2022 album.
A very dark yet heavy sound starts off the album while the faster sections of the songs also add in a great amount of blast beats. Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing along with the vocals being mostly death metal growls along with some blackened screams also being utilized at times.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very chaotic yet melodic style while all of the musical instruments on the album also have a very powerful sound to them. Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with a couple of tracks also adding in a brief use of spoken word parts and clear vocals, dark soundscapes can also be heard in certain sections of the recording and most of the album also focuses more on a brutal direction.
Brutta plays a style of blackened death metal that is very brutal and aggressive sounding as well as being different from most bands of the same genre. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics existentialism, murderers, religion and evil themes.
In my opinion Brutta are a very great sounding blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Brutta" "Inferno" and "Limbo". 8 out of 10.
