Void Eater are a solo project from Norway that plays a blackened form of death metal and this is a review of his 2018 ep "I" which will be released on June 29th by Duplicate Records.
Clean playinh start off the ep before adding in some clean playing and powerful sounding bass guitars while the riffs also bring in a great amount of dark sounding melodies along with the faster sections of the songs also bringing in a great amount of blast beats and a couple of the tracks are very long and epic in length.
Vocals are mostly grim black metal screams while the music also brings in a great amount of death metal elements along with the songs also bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as a couple of the tracks being instrumentals and there is also a brief use of distorted drones
Void Eater plays a musical style that takes black and death metal and mixes them together to create a sound of his own, the production sounds very dark and heavy while the lyrics cover dark and scientific themes.
In my opinion Void Eater is a very great sounding mixture of black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Glyph". 8 out of 10.
