Heretique/De Non Existentia Dei/Via Nocturna/2016 CD Review

  Heretique  are  a  band  from  Poland  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  a  blackened  form  of  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2016  album  "De  Non  Existentia  Dei"  which  was  reelased by  Via  Nocturna.

  Dark  sounding  synths  and  ethnic  sounding  classical  guitars  start  off  the  album  as  well  as  introducing  melodic  guitar  leads  onto  the  recording  and  after  the  intro  heavy  guitars  make  their  presence  known  on  the  recording  along  with  a  good  mixture  of  death  metal  growls  and  black  metal  screams.

  All  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  recording  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  the  riffs  also  use  a  small  amount  of  melody  and  when  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  can  be  heard  and  the  songs  also  bring  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  some  songs  also  bring  in  a  small  amount  of  spoken  word  parts  and  classical  guitars  also  make  a  return  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording.

  Heretique  creates  another  recording  that  remains  true  to  the  blackened  death  metal  style  found  on  their  last  album,  the  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  darkness  and  anti  religion  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Heretique  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  blackened  death  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Sweet  Stench  Of  Rotting  Human  Flesh"  "Dimension"  "Unknown  Whispers"  and  "The  Raven".  8  out  of  10.

Heritique/Ore Veritatus/Wydawnicto Muzyczne Psycho/2012 CD Review

  Heretique  are  a  band  from  Poland  that  plays  a  mixture  of  black,  death  and  thrash  metal  and  this  is a  review  of  their  2012  album  "Ore  Veritatus"  which  was  released  by  Wydawnicto  Muzyczne  Psycho.

  Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  some  blast  beats  being  thrown  into  the  music  at  times,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a very  strong  and  powerful  tone  with  death  metal  riffing  that  dominates  throughout  the  recording,  as  for  the  synths  when  they  are  utilized  which  is  very  rare  they  bring  a  very  dark  and  atmospheric  sound  to  the  music.

  Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow, mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  black,  death  and  thrash metal  together  along  with  some  dark sounding  melodies  as  well  as  a  brief  use  of  soft  and  clean  playing  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own,  while  the  lead  guitars  are  very  chaotic  sounding  death  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads  that  utilize  a  great  amount  of  melody.

  Vocals a re  mostly  deep  death  metal  growls  with  some  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  being  thrown  into  the  music  at  times  as  well  as  a  brief  use  of  clean  singing,  while  the  lyrics  cover  dark,  violent  and  hateful  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  heavy,  powerful  and  professional  sound  where  you  can  hear  all  of  the musical  instruments  that  are  present  on  this  recording.

  In my  opinion  Heretique  are  a  very  great  sounding  hybrid  of  black,  death  and  thrash  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  style,  you  should c heck  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Rain  Of  Fire"   "Tribe"  and  "Lashing  And  Contempt".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
