Death's Eminence are a band from Novato, California that plays very technical and progressive form of blackened death metal and this is a review of their self released 2021 album "In A Hideous Dream Made True".
Acoustic guitars start off the album before going into more of a heavier and technical musical direction. Vocals are mostly black metal screams while the faster sections of the songs also add in a great amount of blast beats along with the music also having its progressive moments and the solos and leads are also done in a very dark yet melodic style.
All of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them while melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing. The songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with some tracks also adding in a small amount of cleaning as well a s the music also mixing in a lot of death metal elements.
Death's Embrace plays a musical style that takes a very progressive and technical form of death metal and mixes it with black metal to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very old school while the lyrics cover Darkness and Death themes.
In my opinion Death's Embrace are a very great sounding technical and progressive blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Omens Of Chaos On the Battlefield Of Sacred Duty" "When Acid Consumes Them" "Incantation Sheathed" and "Instantaneous Obliteration". 8 out of 10.
