Dimesland are a band from Oakland, California that plays a style that mixes black, death and thrash metal with their abstract/hyper metal to create their own sound and this is a review of their 2012 album "Creepmoon" which was released by Vendlus Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being thrown in at times, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars, as for the sound effects when they are utilized their bring a very dark avant garde/noise feeling to the music.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast riffs that combine influences from death, black, thrash and progressive metal to create a style they describe as being abstract/hyper metal which is very original sounding mixed in with some clean playing and there are little to no guitar solos or leads present on this recording.
Vocals are mostly thrash style growls and screams that also have death and black metal influences, while the lyrics cover weird and dark themes, as for the production it has a very strong, dark and powerful sound to it.
In my opinion Dimesland are a very great and original sounding hyper/abstract metal band and if you are looking for something that is different but still heavy, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Trophy Wives Under The Influence" and "Burnt Orange". RECOMMENDED BUY.
