Praise The Flame are a band from Chile that plays a mixture of black, death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Manifest Rebellion" which was released by memento Mori.
A very distorted yet clean guitar intro starts off the album before adding in death metal growls and black metal screams and after the intro the music goes into a very fast blackened death metal direction that also utilizes a great amount of blast beats and the music also bring s in elements of South American thrash.
While the music is very rooted in the old school style of extreme metal the brutality makes the songs have more of a modern atmosphere to them and some of the riffs can also be very melodic at times and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with some of the slower riffs bringing elements of doom metal onto the recording and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and when solos and leads are utilized they remain true to an old school style of death metal.
Praise The Flame plays a musical style that is mostly rooted in old school death metal but mixes in a great amount of black metal and South American thrash elements to create a very raw and brutal sounding recording, the production sounds very heavy while the lyrics cover Occultism, Satanism, Darkness and Anti Christianity themes.
In my opinion Praise The Flame are a very great sounding mixture of black, death and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Fire Forces Of Hate" "Endless Scourge" and "Rise the Witchpower". 8 out of 10.
