In Defilade/Elude/2017 Full Length Review

  In  Defilade  are  a  band  from  North  Carolina  that  plays  a  militant  form  of  blackened  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2017  album  "Elude"  which  will  be  released  in  November.

  Radio  static  noises  start  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  brutal  direction  which  also  uses  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  while  the  vocals  are  a  mixture  of  death  metal  growls  and  black  metal  screams  along  with  a  small  amount  of  spoken  word  parts  and  the  fast  riffs  also  bring  in  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking.

  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  hear  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the  solos  and  leads  are  also  done  in  a  very  melodic  fashion  along  with  the  riffs  also  bringing  in  a  small  amount  of  dark  sounding  melodies  and  as  the  album  progresses  a  brief  use  of  acoustic  guitars  can  be  heard  and  a  couple  of  the  tracks  are  long  and  epic  in  length.

  In  Defilde  plays  a  style of  blackened  death  metal  that  is  very  brutal  and  militant  sounding,  the  production  sounds  very  professional  for  being  a  self  released  recording  while  the  lyrics  cover  dark  and  violent  themes.

  In  my  opinion  In  Defilde  are  a  very  great  sounding  brutal  and  militant  death  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Fearing  The  Worst"  "Drown  The  Child"  "Make  Them  Eat  Glass"  and  "Women  And  Children  First".  8  out  of  10.
