Hellish Grave are a band from Brazil that plays a mixture of black, thrash and speed metal and this is a review of their 2019 album "Hell No Longer Waits" which will be released in May by Hellprod Productions.
An instrumental starts off the album along with some horror orientated soundscapes before going into a heavier musical direction while the solos and leads are done in a very dark and melodic style. All of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them.
A great amount of 80's influences can be heard in the band musical style but also adding a more up to date take on a classic genre. When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can also be heard along with the riffs also adding in a great amount of melody and the vocals are mostly grim black metal screams.
Elements of thrash, speed and first wave black metal can also be heard quite a bit throughout the recording. The songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while horror movie style synths can also be heard briefly and tremolo picking can also be heard during some of the faster riffing, as the album progresses a brief use of ritualistic spoken word parts and classical guitars can also be heard. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Occultism and Darkness themes.
In my opinion Hellish Grave are a very great sounding mixture of black, thrash and speed metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "In Nomine Draculae" "Possessed By The Witch" "Lust For Youth" and "Soldiers Of Hell". 8/5 out of 10.
