Hell Machine are a duo from Australia that plays a blackened form of thrash metal and this is a review of their self released 2021 album 'Relentless Aggression".
A very heavy and aggressive sound starts off the album while the bass guitars are used as a lead instrument on this recording. Vocals are mostly done in a first wave black metal style along with some growls also being utilized at times and the music also adds in a great amount of thrash metal elements.
When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can also be heard while the songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. Melodies can also be heard at times along with the music also being very heavily rooted in the 80's to early 90's style mixed in with a more modern production as well as one track also adding in a brief use of spoken word samples and the whole album also sticks to a heavier direction.
Hell machine plays a musical style that takes black and thrash metal and mixes them together with a touch of death metal to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover occultism, hatred and lust themes.
In my opinion Hell Machine are a very great sounding blackened thrash metal duo and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Devil Spawn" "God Is Nowhere" and "Hammer Of hate". 8 out of 10.
