Eternal Khan are a band from Rhode Island that plays a mixture of black, doom and thrash metal and this is a review of their self released 2012 demo.
Drums range from from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with not much in the way of blast beats, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast riffs that combine black, doom, and thrash metal together to create a sound of their with some dark sounding melodies being thrown into the riffing, while the lead guitars are very dark sounding blackened doom metal guitar leads.
Vocals are all blackened thrash style growls and screams with some back up shouts, while the lyrics cover darkness and mythology themes, as for the production it has a very dark, heavy, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion Eternal Khan are a very great sounding hybrid of black, doom and thrash metal and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Smokepoint". RECOMMENDED BUY.
