Ram-Page are a band from Russia that has been featured before in this zine with a musical style I would describe as being a mixture of black, death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2013 album "The Depths of Rage" which was released by Metal Scrap Records.
"Laceration" begins with heavy guitar riffs and drums which lead up to some black metal screams and powerful bass guitars and then the music speeds up a small amount and adds in some thrash elements which also leads up to some melodic riffing and deep death metal growls and after awhile there are some guitar solos and leads being utilized.
'Alert Death" begins with some guitar riffs and drums before adding in some powerful bass guitars and black metal vocals and then t he song starts speeding up a bit with a brief use of blast beats that come in and out as well as some melodic guitar leads.
"Show" begins with some clean guitar playing and bass guitars before getting heavy and fast along with some blast beats then the high pitched screams start kicking in and the song adds in more mid paced sections while also returning to the faster parts at times as well as mixing in a brief use of deep death metal growls.
''The Past" begins with some heavy and melodic guitar riffs along with some drums which leads up to the bass guitars and screams kicking in and after a few seconds their is a brief use of growls being utilized and in certain parts the music gets slightly faster.
'Way" begins with some heavy guitar and bass riffs as well as some drums which lead up to the screams kicking in as well as a brief use of blast beats and towards the end the music starts adding in some melodic elements.
'Night" begins with some symphonic horror movie keyboards before adding in melodic guitar riffs, heavy bass, screams and growls and then the music starts speeding up along with some blast beats being utilized and then the song starts switching back and forth between slow and fast parts and as the song moves on there is a brief use of guitar solos and leads.
"Wind" begins with some heavy guitar and bass riffs along wit h some drums and screams and then the song starts switching back and forth between mid parts and fast parts as w ell as mixing in some guitar solos and leads which utilize some melody.
"Elevation" begins with some heavy guitar riffs and drums which leads up to some powerful bass playing and screams and after awhile the music starts speeding up in some sections and adds in some blast beats as well as some melody in the slower sections and towards the end there is a brief use of guitar leads.
''The Darkness" begins with some heavy guitar riffs and drums along with some bass and high pitched screams a few seconds later and then the song speeds up with some old school thrash elements as well as some blast beats and after awhile there is a brief use of clean playing being utilized.
"Fog" begins with some acoustic guitars, bass, drums and screams and a minute later the music starts adding in some heavy and melodic guitar riffs before going back to a cleaner direction but getting heavy again at the end.
'Ghost" begins with some heavy and melodic guitar and bass riffs along with some drums and then the screams start kicking in and then t he song starts switching back and forth between slow and fast parts and towards the end there is a brief use of guitar leads..
"Song Of Night" begins with some heavy guitar and bass riffs along with some drums and screams and after awhile it starts speeding up in certain sections of the song but focusing more on mid paced parts.
Song lyrics are written in Russian and cover dark themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound where you can hear all can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the album.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Ram-page and if you are a fan of black, death and thrash metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Laceration" "The Past" "The Darkness" and "Song Of Night". RECOMMENDED BUY.
