Victims Of Classwar are a band from Germany that plays a mixture of black, thrash metal and crust and this is a review of their 2025 album "Invitation To A Funeral" which was released by Bleeding Heart Nihilist Productions.
Bass guitar leads start off the album before adding in some dark, melodic and heavy riffing while the solos and leads are also done in a very melodic and old school metal/punk style. When the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard and the vocals add in a mixture of crust style shouting and black metal screams.
Elements of thrash metal are also utilized quite a bit throughout the recording while the album also add in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. Some of the tracks are also very long and epic in length along with some songs also adding in a small amount of clean playing, clear chants/singing and spoken words are also used at times and some of the vocals also add in more of an 80's extreme metal style.
Victims Of Classwar plays a musical style that takes black, thrash metal and crust and mixes them together to create a sound of t heir own. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover apocalyptic themes.
In my opinion Victims of Classwar are a very great sounding mixture of black, thrash metal and crust and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Funeral Is Unwritten" "Pigpriest" "Lust For Pain" and "Lux Interior". 8 out of 10.
