Hellish God are a band from Italy that has been featured before in this zine and plays a very brutal and satanic form of blackened death metal and this is a review of their album "The Evil Emanations" which will be released in 2018 by Everlasting Spew Records.
Ritualistic sounding keyboards start off the album before going into more of a heavier and brutal direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats during the faster sections of the songs while the riffs also use a great amount of dark sounding melodies along with the vocals being mostly death metal growls as well as some black metal screams.
Most of the music is very heavily rooted in the mid 90's while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and when solos and leads are utilized they remain true to an old school death metal style.
Hellish God creates another recording that remains true to the blackened death metal style of their previous release, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Satanism and Qlipthoth themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Hellish God and if you are a fan of brutal blackened death metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Qlipoth" "Burning The infidel" and "I Am Belial". 8 out of 10.
