Vecordious are a band from Norway that plays a blackened form of death metal and this is a review of their self released 2017 album "Anthropogenic Detorioration" which will be released in December.
A very dark sounding intro starts off the album along with some melodic chants and female vocals before going into a very fast and brutal direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats while the vocals bring in a mixture of black metal screams and death metal growls.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very dark and melodic fashion while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with some melodic vocals also being used at times as well as the riffs also bringing in a decent amount of melody.
A great amount of tremolo picking can also be heard in the fast riffing and when keyboards are used briefly they add in the atmosphere of a horror movie as well as a brief use of clean guitars before returning back to a more brutal direction while all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Vecordious plays a musical style that takes a modern form of black metal and mixes it with brutal death metal to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover dark, philosophical and occult themes.
In my opinion Vecordious are a very great sounding blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Purging" "Awaiting Decimation" "Ghastly Septicity" and "Deomon Of Demise". 8 out of 10.
