Princip/Fuck Your Empire/Life As A Dream Records/2017 EP Review

  Princip  are  a  solo  project  from  Serbia  that  plays  a  mixture  of  black  metal  and  hardcore  punk  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2017  ep  "Fuck  Your  Empire"  which  was  released  by  Life  As  A  Dream  Records.

  A  very  fast  punk  orientated  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  some  screaming  vocals  which  mix  hardcore  and  black  metal  together  while t he  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  bring  in  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  as  well  as  all  of  the  musical  instruments  having  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

  Spoken  word  samples  can  also  be  heard  briefly while  all  of  the  songs  are  very  short  in  length  along  with  the  riffs  also  bringing  in  a  small  amount  of  melody  as  well  as  the  songs  also  bringing  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  the  music  always  remains  very  heavy.

  Princip  plays  a  musical  style  that  takes  black  metal  and  hardcore  punk  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  and  old  school  while  the  lyrics  cover  violent  and  angry  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Princip  are  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  black  metal  and  hardcore  punk  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  solo  project.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Fuck  Your  Empire"  and  "Whore".  8  out  of  10.
