Truchlo Strzygi are a band from Poland that plays a blackened form of punk metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Pora Umierac" which will be released in June by Godz of War Productions.
Humorous singing samples start off the album along with some air raid sirens a few seconds later before going into a heavier direction while the music also brings in a great amount of punk elements as well as a lot of blast beats being utilized during the faster sections of the songs.
Vocals are mostly tortured black metal screams while death metal growls can also be heard at times as well as some melodic singing along with the riffs also bringing in a decent amount of melody which is also added into the guitar solos and leads and throughout the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
The fast riffs also bring in a decent amount of tremolo picking while all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them along with a couple of the tracks being long and epic in length and as the album progresses a brief use of acoustic guitars can also be heard as w ell as the closing track also adding in a few seconds of keyboards.
Truchlo Strzygi plays a musical style that takes black metal and punk and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very old school while the lyrics are written in Polish and cover dark themes.
In my opinion Truchlo Strzygi are a very great sounding blackened punk metal band and if you are looking for something that is original, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Sadystyczny Masowy Mord" "uniera i PeomieS" and "Stary Kult umierci (Ozeocone Trucheo)". 8 out of 10.
