Death Tribe are a solo project originally from Lebanon but now resides in the Netherlands and plays a mixture of black, technical death, thrash, groove and heavy metal and this is a review of his self released 2019 album "Beyond Pain And Pleasure: A Desert Experiment" which will be released in February.
Groove metal style riffing starts off the album while all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them, Vocals also bring in a great amount of black metal screams as well as the riffing also adding a lot of melodies and some of the faster riffing is heavily influenced by thrash metal.
Blast beats can also be heard when the music speeds up along with a great amount of death metal growls also being utilized quite a bit throughout the recording. The songs also bring in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as some of the fast riffs also adding in some tremolo picking which also enhances the black metal influence of the recording.
At times the solos and leads also add a very technical style to the recording and some of the vocals are also done in a more melodic approach without losing any aggression and as the album progresses the music starts incorporating more elements of traditional metal. The production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover violence and war themes.
In my opinion Death Tribe is a very great sounding mixture of black, technical death, thrash, groove and heavy metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Hollow" "Neurotic Breakdown" "Narcissist Bastard Nation" and "Face the Facts". 8 out of 10.
