In Hell are a band from France that plays a blackened form of death metal and this is a review of their 2019 album "Satanica Mundi" which was released by Mystyk Prod.
Ritualistic soundscapes start off the album before going into a very fast and brutal direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats. Vocals bring in a great mixture of black emtal screams and death metal growls while the riffs also bring in a great amount of dark sounding melodies.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very chaotic style as well as having their melodic moments while the spoken word parts are used briefly also give the music more of a ritualistic feeling. Throughout the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
Some of the fast riffs also bring in a decent amount of tremolo picking and as the album progresses a brief use of epic sounding synths can also be heard before returning back to a more brutal direction. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Satanism, Left Hand Path, Western Occultism, Kaballah, Blasphemy and Knights Templar themes.
In my opinion In Hell are a very great sounding blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Origin Of Occult" "Blasphementes" "The Dark Secrets Of the Knights Templat" and "Al Isra Hell". 8 out of 10.
