This is a review of another recording from Hungary's solo project Abolizion which shows him taking his dissonant style of blackened death metal into more of a melodic direction and the ep was self released in 2022 and called "Red And Blue".
A very dark and heavy sound starts off the ep while the riffs also add in a great amount of melody. All of the drum beats are programmed along with the vocals being mostly guttural death metal growls and when the music speeds up a decent amount of blast b eats and black metal elements can b e heard.
When synths are utilized they also give the music more of an atmospheric feeling along with some of t he riffs also add in a dissonant touch. Influences of slam can be heard in the mid tempo sections of the songs along with some screams also being utilized briefly and the solos and leads are also done in a very melodic style.
On t his recording Abolizion takes his blackened death metal style into more of a melodic and atmospheric direction. The production sounds very dark and heavy while the lyrics cover destructive themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Abolizion and if you are a fan of atmospheric blackened death metal, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Facing Worlds (At Destruction)". 8 out of 10.
