Domain where a band from Poland that played a blackened form of death metal before changing their name back to Pandemonium and this is a review of their 1995 album of the same name which was also re-issued in 2016 by Old Temple.
Ritualistic style drumming starts off the album along with some heavy riffing a few seconds later and after the intro death metal growls and blast beats are added onto the recording while you can also hear a touch of black metal in the screams and all of the musical instruments sound very powerful.
Throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and some songs also bring in a small amount of clean guitars along with a brief use of stringed instruments and only a couple of tracks bring in guitar solos and leads and they are done in a very melodic fashion and most of the guitar riffing is done on power chords while they do bring in a brief use of riffs that use melodies.
Domain played a style of death metal that was very mid tempo on this recording while also mixing in a decent amount of black metal influences, the production sounds very professional for the era it was released in while the lyrics cover Darkness, Occultism, Necronomicon and Anti Christianity themes.
In my opinion Domain where a very great sounding blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this re-issue. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Blood Of God" "The Calling" and "Mirror Of hate". 8 out of 10.
