Sarmat/RS-28/2021 Full Length Review

 

  Sarmat  are  a  band  from  Poland  that  plays  a  blackened  form  of  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  2021  album  "RS-28".

  A  very  fast  and  brutal  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  while  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing.  High  pitched  black  metal  screams  are  also  a  very  huge  part  of  the  recording  as  well  as  the  vocals  also  utilizing  a  great  amount  of  deep  death  metal  growls.

  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  dark  yet  melodic  style  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  One  of  the  tracks  also  introduces  clean  playing  onto  the  recording  along  with  some  tremolo  picking also b eing  added  into  some  of  the  faster  riffing,  as  the  album  progresses  a  brief  use  of  keyboards  can  also  be  heard  before  returning  back  to  a  heavier  direction.

  Sarmat  plays  a  style  of  blackened  death  metal  that  is  very  fast,  aggressive  and  brutal  sounding.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  destruction,  military  industry,  human  fears  and  obsessions.

  In  my  opinion  Sarmat  are  a  very  great  sounding  blackened  death  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Coldgrinder"  "RS-28"  and  "You  Don't  Live  IN  mY  wAR".  8  OUT  OF  10.
