Sterbhaus are a band from Sweden that has been featured before in this zine and plays a mixture of black, death and thrash metal and this is a review of their live 2021 album "Necrostabbing At Göta Källare - Live In Stockholm" which will be released in July by Black Lodge Records.
Live audience reaction starts off the album before going into a heavier thrash metal direction while the vocals are mostly aggressive sounding screams. Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing while the music also brings in a great amount of black and death metal elements and all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the faster sections of the songs also add in a decent amount of blast beats. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they also remain very true to an old school direction along with one track also adding in a small amount of ska influences as well as some tremolo picking also being added into some of the faster riffing, clean playing can also be heard at times.
On this recording Sterbhaus takes the 80's styles of black, death and thrash metal and take them into a more modern direction. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in a mixture of Swedish and English and cover Satanism, War, Death, Violence, Misanthropy and Anti Religion themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Sterbhaus and if you are a fan of black, death and thrash metal, you should check out t his live album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Necrostabbing The Corpsefinder" " New Level of Malevolence" "The King Of The Red" and "Ministry". 8 out of 10.
