Cult Of The Night are a duo from Australia that plays a satanic mixture of black and speed metal and this is a review of their self released 2022 ep "Dance Of The Witches".
Drum b eats start off the ep while the faster sections of the songs also add in a decent amount of blast beats and speed metal elements. Vocals are done in mostly a first wave black metal style along with some melodic singing also being utilized at times and the music is also very heavily rooted in the 89's era.
Some of the riffing also shows an influence of thrash metal while the solos and leads also remain very true to an old school style. Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the songs also bringing a more modern touch to an 80's style and clean playing can also be heard on the closing track.
Cult of the Night plays a musical style that takes black, thrash and speed metal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Hell, Satanism, Violence and War themes.
In my opinion Cult Of The Night are a very great sounding mixture of black, thrash and speed metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this duo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Metal Strike" and "Dance Of The Witches". 8 out of 10.
