Truchlo Strzygi are a band from Poland that has had music reviewed before in this zine and plays a blackened form of punk metal and this is a review of their 2022 album "Gwiezdny Demon" which was released by Godz Ov War Productions.
Spoken word parts start off the album before going into a heavier musical direction while the solos and leads also bring in more of an old school style. Vocals are mostly black metal screams along with the faster sections of t he songs also adding in a great amount of blast beats and punk elements.
Hardcore style shouts can also be heard quite a bit throughout the album while all of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them. The songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with a couple of tracks also adding in a brief use of clean playing and acoustic guitars, clear vocals and back up shouts can also be heard briefly and synths are also added on the closing song.
On this recording Truchlo Strzygi remain true to the blackened style of punk metal that they have established on previous releases. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Polish and cover love, hate, life, death, nihilism and post apocalypse themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Truchlo Strzygi and if you are a fan of blackened punk metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ostatnie tchnienie Nosferatu" "Zaglada" and "Planeta Astrid". 8 out of 10.
