Faded Remembrance are a solo project from Hungary that plays a mixture of black, gothic, doom and death metal and this is a review of his self released 2023 album "Delusion Of Silence".
A very slow, dark, heavy and melodic doom metal sound starts off the album while all of the tracks on the album are also very long and epic in length. The clear vocals go back to the 90's era of gothic metal along with some clean playing also being added into certain sections of the recording and the solos and leads also add in a lot of melody.
Trumpet's, trombones and violins are also added on some of the tracks while all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them. When harsher vocals are utilized they also bring in elements of black and death metal along with one song also adding in a brief use of spoken word parts and the whole album sticks to either a slow or mid tempo direction, the closing track also adds in a brief use of fast tremolo picking and blast b eats.
Faded Remembrance plays a musical style that takes black, gothic, doom and death metal and mixes them together to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover human nature, inner struggles, faith, existence and emotions.
In my opinion Faded Remembrance are a very great sounding mixture of black, gothic, doom and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMNEDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Daydreaming Of Salvation" "Delusion of Silence" and "Anathema". 8 out of 10.
