Infernal Throne are a solo project from Greece that plays a mixture of black and thrash metal and this is a review of his 2023 album "Caelum Et Infernum" which was released by Theogonia Records.
Distorted voices and clean playing start off the album before going into a heavier direction while black metal style tremolo picking and blast b eats can also be heard when the music speeds up. Vocals are done in more of an aggressive thrash metal style and melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while clear vocals can also be heard briefly. Some of the vocals also show a first wave black metal style along with the solos and leads also being done in a very melodic style as well as some of the riffing also showing an influence of death metal.
Growls are also added on one of the tracks and some of the songs are also very long and epic in length along with one song also adding in a brief use of spoken word parts as well as each track also bringing in a different vocalist. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover darkness, despair and transcendence.
In my opinion Infernal Throne are a very great sounding mixture of black and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Wings Of Winter" "Caelum Et Infernum" and "Cataclysm Of The Soul". 8 out of 10.
