Krypt are a band from Augusta, Georgia that plays a blackened mixture of death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2024 ep "Great Spawn Of The Worms Of The Earth" which will be released in July by Terminus Hate City.
Movie samples start off the ep before adding into some blast beats and black metal style fast tremolo picking. All of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them while the riffs also add in a great amount of thrash metal elements and melodies are also utilized at times.
Vocals are done in a very aggressive death/thrash metal style while the songs also add in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. The music also add in both modern and old school influences along with one track also being an instrumental and the whole ep also sticks to a heavier direction and the solos and leads also bring in more of a 90's extreme metal style.
Krypt plays a musical style that takes black, death and thrash metal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover the corrupt system.
In my opinion Krypt are a very great sounding blackened mixture of death and thrash metal and if you are a f an of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Burden Of The Beast" and "Unrelenting". 8 out of 10.
