Deathsiege/Unworthy Adversary/Dawnbreed Records/2020 Demo Review

  Deathsiege  are  a  band  from  Israel  that  plays  a  blackened  form  of  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2020  demo  "Unworthy  Adversary"  which  was  released  by  Dawnbreed  Records.

  Drum  beats  start  off  the  demo  before  adding  in  some  heavier  riffing  while  dark  sounding  melodies  can  also  be heard  in  some  of  the  guitar  riffing.  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can  be  heard  and  the  vocals  are  a  mixture  of  black  metal  screams  and  death  emtal  growls.

  Most  of  the  tracks  are  very  short  in  length  while  the  music  is  also  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  90's  style.  When  guitar solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  also  remain  very  true  to  an  old  school  style  along  with  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  the  whole  demo  always  sticks  to  a  very  heavy  and  brutal  musical  direction  and  the  demo  also  closes  with  an  instrumental.

  Deithsiege  plays  a  musical  style  that  goes  back  to  the  90's  era  of  black  and  death  metal  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own.  The  production  sounds  very  old  school  while  the  lyrics  cover  death  and  violence  themes. 

  In  my  opinion  Deathsiege  are  a  very  great  sounding  blackened  death  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  demo.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Drowned  By  Murderous  Force"  "Unworthy  Adversary"  and  "Siege  of  Death".  8  out  of  10.
