Angelcorpse/The Inexorable/Olympic Records/1999 CD Review

Angelcorpse are a legendary blackened death metal band with a thrash edge that originally came from Kansas than relocated to Florida and this is a review of their 1999 album "The Inexorable" which was released by Olympic Records.

Drums are very fast and brutal with a lot of blast beats while the bass playing has a very powerful and fast sound which follows the riffs that are coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars are very fast riffs that have a lot of death metal influences mixed in with a good amount of black metal as well as black/thrash, while the lead guitars are noisy and chaotic guitar solos that combine a lot of classic death metal and death/thrash influences.

Vocals are mostly high pitched black/death screams with some deep death metal growls, while the lyrics cover war, the dark magick of Aliester Crowley,Left Hand Path occultism and the philosophy of Nietzsche, as for the production on this recording which was recorded during the month of May, 1999 at Morrisound and Audiolab Studios sounds very heavy and professional and you can hear all of the instruments.

In my opinion Angelcorpse are a very good blackened death metal band and this is one of their best albums. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Smoldering In Exile" "A Predator To Prey" and "Begotten (Through Blood And Flame". RECOMMENDED BUY.
